In the order passed on Tuesday, the Commission headed by Justice SK Mittal, Chairperson, Justice KC Puri and Deep Bhatia, members, quoted the news report titled ‘One lecturer for 181 students in Palwal College’ and said that if these facts are correct, then it is a serious violation of the human rights of the students who are studying in that college. “Therefore, the Commission takes suo motu cognisance of the matter and seeks report from the Director, Higher Education, Haryana, within eight weeks.” The next date of hearing has been fixed for March 19.
