Teen killed in Sonepat

Sonepat, June 10

Five youths on Monday attacked a teenager with knives and other weapons 200 metres from the Kundli police station in Sonepat district.

After committing the crime, the accused, identified as Brijesh, Rohit, Sahil, Chahat and Hari Om, fled.

The victim was identified as Amit (17) of Janti Kalan village in the district. He was taken to a private hospital at Narela in Delhi, where doctors declared him brought dead.

On a complaint by Amit’s father Subhash, running a tea shop in Kundli, a case of murder was registered at the Kundli police station. The accused would be arrested soon, said DSP Harender Kumar.

Subhash stated that his son was a learner at a CNG kit mechanic shop. He said there was a quarrel between his son and the accused, residents of the same village, on May 29. — OC
