Tech university signs pact to train faculty

BATHINDA: Maharaja Ranjit Singh Punjab Technical University (MRSPTU), Bathinda, signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) to conduct training for the faculty members to prepare them for success in a knowledge society.

Maharaja Ranjit Singh Punjab Technical University (MRSPTU), Bathinda, signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) to conduct training for the faculty members to prepare them for success in a knowledge society. The MoU was signed at a function held at AICTE headquarters, New Delhi.

Vice-chancellor, MRSPTU, Dr Mohan Paul Singh Ishar, signed the MoU on behalf of the university along with Prof Anil D Sahasrabudhe, Chairman, AICTE.

The memorandum of understanding defined the role of both the parties in which they agreed to share equally the expenditure for conducting 10 such training programmes in a financial year.

In a press release issued here on Thursday, the MRSPTU Vice-chancellor said all teachers from the AICTE-approved institutions affiliated to it were eligible to participate in faculty development training programmes aimed to understanding the new-age training techniques.

The training will be of five days with a minimum of 40 participants.
