Chandigarh, January 3

The All India Federation of Polytechnic Teachers’ Organisation (AIFPTO) has written to the Union Minister for Human Resource Development demanding AICTE 7th pay scale before January 15.

More than 1.5 lakh members of the union from all over the country have threatened to launch a nationwide agitation if their demands not met. The union said the government was continuing to ignore their demand for 7th pay revision despite the fact that polytechnic teachers were the only left over category of employees in the country whose pay scales were yet to be revised. — TNS
