Teacher held for minor’s ‘rape’

SHIMLA: A private school teacher has been arrested for the alleged rape of a minor girl at Pudag village in Kotkhai of Shimla. The teacher was nabbed yesterday on the complaint of the victim’s mother.

The teacher was nabbed yesterday on the complaint of the victim’s mother. The accused teacher, 29, was also named among the persons who set the Kotkhai police station afire over the rape and murder of Gudia in July 2017. The accused had left the school sometime ago and was not working anywhere. The matter came to light when the parents suspected that their daughter was pregnant. He has been booked under Section 376 IPC. TNS
