Aam Aadmi Party MLA Sarvjit Kaur Manuke on Monday drew the attention of the House towards growing incidents of dog bites.

Citing rising incidents of dogs bites, the MLA urged Chief Minister Capt Amarinder Singh and Animal Husbandry Minister Tript Rajinder Bajwa to take remedial measures to check the menace. She brought to the notice of the house the need to pay compensation to the victims of dog bites and taking action against those keeping ferocious dogs as pets. She also demanded action against signers who glorified the keeping of ferocious dogs as pets.

Besides, AAP MLA Kultar Singh Sandwan raised the issue of incomplete work relating to sewage laying and streetlighting and substandard supply of wheat distributed under the Atta Dal scheme.
