Sua Road to be widened

MLA from Atam Nagar constituency, Simarjit Singh Bains, said Sua Road — from Pakhowal Road, Passi Chowk, towards Sidhwan Canal — would be widened and the work on it would start soon.

“With widening of Sua Road, commuters would get huge relief. Earlier, the Canal Department had sought fee for it. But now, GLADA would not need to pay any fee to the Canal Department,” he claimed. Bains said he had talked to officials of the Punjab State Power Corporation Limited for shifting of electricity poles and Forest Department for shifting of trees. — TNS
