An ‘Economy for productivity and sustainability week’ is being organised at Malwa Central College of Education for Women. The week will end on February 18 as per a circular issued by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE), New Delhi.
Dr Naginder Kaur, college Principal, along with staff and students, took an oath to save the environment and resources for future generations. To celebrate this week, many associations and clubs of the college are organising talks, discussions, skits, poems during morning assembly.
To create awareness among the local community, rallies will also be organised by students and staff of the college.
Cleanliness rally
In all, 300 NSS volunteers of the KCW took out a rally in college campus. The cleanliness club and environment club had organised the rally.
The volunteers took a round of the college raising slogans for cleanliness. The purpose of the initiative was to make students aware of the idea and importance of cleanliness. Holding colourful placards with beautiful and motivational messages, the students spread the idea ‘Cleanliness is next to Godliness’. A signature drive was also launched to reinforce the idea of cleanliness.
