Student hoists Tricolour at 10,400 ft

BATHINDA: Harjinder Singh, a student of B Ed (batch 2018-20) of Baba Farid College of Education, Bathinda, hoisted the Tricolour at a height of 10,400 ft high on Mariddo mountain, which is near Patalsu peak (Himachal Pardesh), during the NSS National Adventure Camp at Manali, organised by the Central Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports.

Harjinder Singh, a student of B Ed (batch 2018-20) of Baba Farid College of Education, Bathinda, hoisted the Tricolour at a height of 10,400 ft high on Mariddo mountain, which is near Patalsu peak (Himachal Pardesh), during the NSS National Adventure Camp at Manali, organised by the Central Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports.

He did well in different type of tracking events with his courage and dedication and after crossing every obstacle, he reached his destination and hoisted the Tricolor on the snowy mountain peak Mariddo.

Earlier, Harjinder Singh had also made it to the 12,000 ft high Chanderkhani pass.

Dr Gurmeet Singh Dhaliwal, chairman, BFGI, congratulated Harjinder Singh and his parents for the success and also gave him best wishes for future.

He said for such adventure games, good health, proper technique, knowledge and encouragement were needed.

The principal, faculty members, staff and students of Baba Farid College of Education congratulated Harjinder Singh for his achievement.
