Stray bull claims biker’s life, AAP lodges protest

Abohar, January 21

A motorcyclist was killed after being hit by a stray bull late last evening. The deceased has been identified as Balbir Singh (50).

The accident took place when he was on his way to Amarpura village from Kikkarkhera. Balbir was taken to the Civil Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries. He was a salesman at a rural liquor shop.

AAP activists, who have been on a dharna outside Nehru Park since November 25 against the stray cattle menace, today condemned the incident and blamed the administration for another death due to the menace.

Consumer Movement chairman Satpal Khariwal, Akhil Bharatiya Grahak Panchayat state vice-president Ashok Garg and members of the Rural Postal Employees’ Union also joined the protest. Garg said the authorities must take measures to check the menace.
