Stone of bridge laid

Bela (Ropar):Technical Education Minister Charanjit Singh Channi laid the foundation stone of a bridge to be built at the Dehar escape drain at a cost of Rs 3.40 crore here on Tuesday. Channi said roads and bridges would be constructed at a cost of Rs 100 crore in the Chamkaur Sahib Assembly constituency. He said the repair of 256-km-long link roads of 168 villages was going on at a cost of Rs 33.29 crore. Besides, tenders for the construction of other roads of the villages would also be floated this month, he added. He said the Ropar-Bela road would also be strengthened at a cost of Rs 3 crore and the Guru Gobind Singh Marg from Singh village to Chamkaur Sahib would be strengthened at a cost of Rs 4 crore. TNS
