The Sarabha Nagar H-Block Welfare Association today called a meeting over the issue of rising crime incidents in the area.
Members raised the issue of the presence of some unknown persons near the H-Block park where children play.
Association members, accompanied by more than two dozen residents, raised concern over the presence of suspected persons in the area, and they suspected that such persons could be in the wake to commit some crime.
“A few days ago, when children in H-Block were playing in the park, an unknown motorcyclist stopped there and asked teenage to be friends with him. Girls apprised their parents of the issue, who didn’t approach the police fearing that their claims might not be taken seriously. But now, we want the police to increase patrolling in the area so that such unwanted persons may not kidnap any child,” the association members said.
The members said they would also apprise Police Commissioner Rakesh Agrawal of the issue.
“We are also planning to employ private security guards in H-Block so that our children can play safely in parks. All association members will contribute money to pay to the private guards,” they said.
