St Xavier’s student shines in Khelo India Youth Games

BATHINDA: A student of St Xavier’s High School, Parikshit Singh Brar, secured the seventh rank in the shooting event of the Khelo India Youth Games held in Pune on January 11.

A student of St Xavier’s High School, Parikshit Singh Brar, secured the seventh rank in the shooting event of the Khelo India Youth Games held in Pune on January 11. He was accorded a warm welcome by school principal Father Eulalio Farnandes and other staff members.

Parikshit said he started pursuing his passion at the age of 13 with the inauguration of the shooting range in the school in 2016. He had been selected in the Khelo India Youth Games twice.

He said he had participated and won a bronze medal in the 64th National School Games (in the u-17 category) in Indore. The games were held last month. He had also won a bronze medal in the 64th Punjab School Games 2018 held at Roopnagar from November 9 to 12, 2018.
