Sports Day: Beas House bags overall trophy

LUDHIANA: Students from Class III to XII, representing different houses, took part in various sports events and fun games during the annual sports day of Sri Harkrishan Public Senior Secondary School, Doraha, on Friday.

Students from Class III to XII, representing different houses, took part in various sports events and fun games during the annual sports day of Sri Harkrishan Public Senior Secondary School, Doraha, on Friday.

Amarjit Singh and Sukhpal Singh, member of the school managing trust and chairman, respectively, were the chief guests at the opening ceremony.

Participants from the Beas House secured maximum points to bag the overall trophy. A volleyball match was organised between Students XI and Teachers XI, in which the latter came out triumphant.

Amarjit Singh distributed prizes to position holders. They were given medals and certificates. He advised students to take an active part in games for the overall development.

Gagandeep Kaur and Paramjit Kaur Sekhon, vice-principal and senior coordinator, respectively, congratulated the winners and thanked the school staff in conducting the event successfully.
