The Class X examinations of the Punjab School Education Board (PSEB) began on Friday. The first exam was of Punjabi, which most of the students found easy.
School Education Minister OP Soni, accompanied by District Education Officer (DEO) Salvinder Singh Samra inspected examination centres. He also checked the supply material in various schools too.
Soni checked building material, quality of infrastructure, digital black boards, LCD screens, supply and quality of furniture being used at the smart schools. The minister checked examination centres in the presence of staff. He interacted with students to know about the difficulties faced by them regarding exams and their studies. He interacted with staff on exam duty and enquired about the exam atmosphere. Soni also checked unsafe buildings in multiple schools and directed the principals concerned to get them demolished and start the construction work on new buildings.
Meanwhile, students said that the Punjabi paper was easy. Rama Mahajan, Principal of Ajit Vidyalaya, said, “The students found the paper easy and simple.”
A government school principal said most of the students expressed happiness as the exam was quite easy.
