Soni donates Rs1 lakh to Sai Creations

AMRITSAR: School Education Minister Om Parkash Soni on Wednesday presented a cheque for Rs 1 lakh to Sai Creations for running an awareness campaign in order to apprise people of ill-effects of drugs, female foeticide and other social evils in villages through street plays.

School Education Minister Om Parkash Soni on Wednesday presented a cheque for Rs 1 lakh to Sai Creations for running an awareness campaign in order to apprise people of ill-effects of drugs, female foeticide and other social evils in villages through street plays. Soni said the state government had also launched a campaign against drugs.

Through drama, people are being educated about drug abuse. He said the art had a direct impact on the mind of people, and plays against this social evil by this team would also lay an impact on the minds of the people.

Vikas Soni, president, psychiatric society, Paramjit Macka, secretary, Berinder Babbu, honorary director Gurinderkana, Kulwinder Kaur, Ubirbir Singh, Karnbir Singh and Tarnbir Singh were among the prominent present on the occasion.
