Shops sealed over tax pendency

Property tax staff of the MC sealed four commercial establishments at 88 Feet Road, Majitha Road, here on Friday. Officials said they sealed a medical store, workshop, dairy and a garment shop.

Pardeep Rajput, nodal officer, property tax, said they initiated the sealing drive to enhance the recovery of tax. “After sealing shops, defaulters pay the pending tax. There is a significant increase in tax recovery,” he added.

He urged the traders and residents to pay their pending tax without any delay. The sealing drive will continue, he added.
