SGPC releases calendar

AMRITSAR: A 2019 calendar on visuals of Sri Harmandir Sahib, Sri Amritsar and Darbar Sahib, Tarn Taran, dedicated to the 550th Parkash Purb of Guru Nanak Dev, was released by SGPC president Gobind Singh Longowal at Darbar Sahib here on Sunday.

A 2019 calendar on visuals of Sri Harmandir Sahib, Sri Amritsar and Darbar Sahib, Tarn Taran, dedicated to the 550th Parkash Purb of Guru Nanak Dev, was released by SGPC president Gobind Singh Longowal at Darbar Sahib here on Sunday.

The calendar depicts the palanquin (Palki Sahib), Gurdwara Ber Sahib, Sultanpur Lodhi and Darbar Sahib (Tarn Taran), Sukhasan Asthan, Akal Takht Sahib, Sanctum Sanctorum Harmandir Sahib, domes and bungas of Harmandir Sahib, central dome of Harmandir Sahib, passage to realm of truth, sacred sarovar of Darbar Sahib (Tarn Taran), architectural marvels and logos of devine manifestation, Darbar Sahib in Tarn Taran, and Darshni Deodhi.

SGPC president Gobind Singh Longowal while releasing the calendar appreciated advocate Harpreet Singh Sandhu for his good initiative. “This is a very educative and a positive step towards promoting religious places and will be a useful tool to depict Sikh symbols amongst the various Sikh institutions,” said SGPC president.
