Several flights delayed, two diverted

Chandigarh, July 9

The Chandigarh airport witnessed several flight delays while two flights were diverted due to heavy rainfall and cloudy conditions in the city today.

A flight from Leh, which was to reach the airport at 9:35 am, landed at 11:32 am. A flight from Dubai witnessed a similar delay and arrived an hour late.

A flight from Sharjah, which is scheduled to reach at 2:15 pm, arrived at 5:18 pm, clocking a delay of three hours.

Flights from Srinagar and Hyderabad were also delayed by an hour.

Two flights from Delhi and Mumbai were diverted due to the inclement weather.

Things were not much better for flights departing from Chandigarh either with 11 such flights taking off late.

Flights to Nanded, Srinagar and three flights to Delhi left the Chandigarh airport after a delay of about an hour.

Flights to Leh and Mumbai were delayed by two hours. A flight to Sharjah was delayed by three hours.
