Seven illegal coaching centres sealed in Kulgam

ANANTNAG: The district administration here today sealed seven private tuition centres which had failed to get their centres registered with the directorate of school education at Kulgam in South Kashmir.

The district administration here today sealed seven private tuition centres which had failed to get their centres registered with the directorate of school education at Kulgam in South Kashmir.

A team of officials, including Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC), Tehsildar Kulgam and Assistant Director Planning from Education Department, conducted raids across Kulgam and sealed the seven centres.

The action was taken on directions of the Deputy Commissioner, Dr Shamim Ahmad, who said a list was prepared wherein these centres were found flouting norms. “We will not allow any unregistered coaching centres to be operated in the district,” the DC said.

He said action would be extended to the town peripheries as well and any institute found flouting norms would meet the same fate. — OC
