SDM briefs officials on R-Day function

Ahmedgarh Sub-divisional Magistrate Poonam Preet Kaur has directed officials to work actively for Republic Day celebrations which would be held at MGMN Senior Secondary School.

“Everyone should realise that it is not a routine chore which we perform during office hours. We all should mark it as a topmost priority as it is a national event,” said the Sub-divisional Magistrate .

Special efforts would be made to make the event a big success. Heads of various government and private educational institutes have been advised to prepare students for presentation of patriotic items, including folk songs and poems.

Staff led by executive officer would be looking after stage, barricading and sitting arrangements. Block Development and Panchayat Officer and Child Development Project Officer would supervise decoration work. Forest Range Officer and the Horticulture Department would arrange flower pots for renovation of the stage and surroundings.
