Schoolkids trapped in wooden trolley, saved

Chenani/ Udhampur, June 19

The Chenani police rescued four school students safely from a wooden trolley here on Wednesday morning. The students were stuck in the trolley on their way to school.

On getting the information, Abdul Star, Chenani SDM, along with a team of local police, led by Paramjit Singh, reached the spot and started the rescue operation. One SPO from the team used wooden planks to reach to the held up trolley. Ropes were tied on both sides of the wooden planks which were dragged over by wires. The hectic efforts of the police saved the four children. Pertinently, the area falls in the winter zone and students have to cross water bodies to reach school. —OC
