St Teresa Convent School reverberated with excitement as students participated in various activities to mark World Earth Day. The aim of the event was to spread awareness among the students. A plantation drive was conducted on the school premises. 

Ryan International, Chandigarh

Students of Ryan International School painted posters on theme ‘Earth Our Mother’. A poem recitation competition was also conducted. Children indulged in gardening activity. 

Golden Bells, Mohali

Golden Bells Public School, Sector 77, observed ‘World Earth Day’. Students presented topics, songs and gave speeches on ‘Save Earth ’. 

KB DAV, Chandigarh 

Students of KB DAV participated in a large number of activities to save Mother Earth. A skit, ‘Dharti Tab or Ab’, was presented by the School Theatre Group. Students of Class III made fascinating models of the Earth. Class V students made eco-friendly jewellery of macroni, vegetables and waste paper. Class X students participated in a quiz on Earth Day. A PowerPoint presentation contest was held for the students of Class IX. 

DAV School, Panchkula 

In a special assembly, students were sensitised about the significance of Earth Day. Besides poster-making competition, students also participated in face-painting competition. The theme was ‘Clean and Green India’.

Moti Ram Arya, Panchkula

Moti Ram Arya Modern Public School, Panchkula, celebrated ‘Earth Day’. Students were sensitised about the importance of saving the environment. The day started with a havan. Students participated in various competitions such as poster-making and slogan-writing. 

Shemrock School, Mohali 

Shemrock Senior Secondary School, Sector 69, organised an interactive workshop on ‘e-waste management’. Speaker Hemant Bagai, manager at Terra PRO Recycling Solutions, emphasised on the 3Rs.

St Soldier, Mohali

St Soldier International Convent School, Phase 7, celebrated Earth Day on its campus. Students of Class IX staged a ‘nukkad natak’ and presented various causes of pollution and problems due to pollution. Students of the Eco Club conducted colouring activities for various classes. TNS
