A delegation of seven students and two educators from Webb School, Knoxville, the US, under the Students Exchange Programme visited the school. The students and the escorting teachers got an opportunity to observe the teaching techniques of the visiting delegation. A special basketball match was organised between Webb School students and Bhavanites. 

Shishu Niketan, Panchkula

Shishu Niketan Public School, Mansa Devi Complex, Sector 5, Panchkula, bade adieu to the Class X students. Class IX students presented scintillating performances. Sahil Dhuran and Pranshu Chauhan shared the student of the year title, while Ajey Malik and Suhail Khan were announced best performers of the day. Founder Principal Amita Khorana and Principal Ranjna Bakshi wished the outgoing students luck in their future endeavours.

Ankur School, Chandigarh

Ankur School, Punjab University, Chandigarh, organised a farewell party for Class X students. Mukul and Sonia became Mr and Ms Ankur 2019, respectively. Ritesh and Yashika bagged the Mr and Ms Elegant tittle, while Mr and Ms Charming title went to Nikhil and Manvi, respectively. Cultural performances including skits, solo songs and dance performances were also held. Principal Dr Parminder Duggal conveyed best wishes to the outgoing batch.

Shishu Niketan, Chandigarh

Shishu Niketan Public School, Sector 43,Chandigarh, held a best wishes party, ‘Odyssey-Before and After…….’ for Class XII students. Students of Class XI wished the outgoing students luck in their forthcoming exams and at the same time enthralled them with various cultural events. Titles were bestowed upon the deserving students. Ashish Puri and Navyaa Talwar bagged the Mr Shishu Niketan and Ms Shishu Niketan title, respectively. Principal Veena Arora was also present on the occasion.

Gurukul Global, Mani Majra

Gurukul Global School, IT Park, Mani Majra, bagged the ‘Best Performing School’ tag for sensitisation towards e-waste. The school was felicitated at a programme held at Government High School, Dhanas. Shalu Khosla bagged the ‘Best social media drive by a teacher’ title. Sunbeam Public School, Dariya, was awarded for undertaking best community outreach. A total of 20 schools from the tricity participated in the programme.

Shivalik Public, Chandigarh

A seminar on heartfulness meditation was conducted by Narinder Singh, Deputy Commandant, Chandimandir, at Shivalik Public School, Sector 41-B, Chandigarh. Students in the age group of 15 to 16 years attended the programme and learnt various techniques to follow their heart. 

Satluj Public, Panchkula

National Umbrella Day was celebrated at Satluj Public School, Sector 4, Panchkula. Carrying colourful umbrellas, Class V students participated in ‘Itty Betty-Spin an Umbrella’, a quiz, along with a dance. 

AKSIPS-45, Chandigarh

An interactive session on ‘The Awakened Citizen Programme’ was organised at AKSIPS-45 Smart School. The aim was to provide the students a framework for decision-making and to bring out the transformation from within. The speaker motivated the students to believe in ‘I can’. 

Aanchal Int’l School, Chandigarh

Aanchal International School celebrated World Radio Day. Students were told about the importance of radio. They were also told about the history of the day. They then enacted a role play which was aired. tns
