Satluj Public, Panchkula

Yuvraj Khosla and Garvita Tripathi from the junior wing of Satluj Public School, Sector 2, Panchkula, brought laurels to the school by winning gold medal and cash prizes in the State-Level Inter School Brain ‘O’ Brain Wonder Kid Competition.

Yuvraj Khosla and Garvita Tripathi from the junior wing of Satluj Public School, Sector 2, Panchkula, brought laurels to the school by winning gold medal and cash prizes in the State-Level Inter School Brain ‘O’ Brain Wonder Kid Competition. Yuvraj Khosla was declared the state topper as well as the city topper. He got a gold medal in mental maths, logical reasoning and speed writing. Garvita Tripathi also bagged a gold medal in mental maths, logical thinking, speed of writing and general knowledge. 

Mount Carmel, Mohali

Mount Carmel School, Mohali, organised a grand winter carnival on the school premises. Games stalls such as spin the wheel, try your luck, musical chairs, check your aim, etc, put up by the students were crowd pullers. An array of edible delights, raffle draw and exciting prizes such as microwave, electric tandoor, blender and seven consolations prizes were the highlights. 

Aanchal International, Chandigarh

A workshop was conducted for teachers of Aanchal International School. New pedagogies were taught to teachers for making learning a fun activity for students. Emphasis was laid on content knowledge, increasing the use of educational technology, higher order thinking skills, classroom management techniques and behaviour management strategies.

RIMT World, Mani Majra

RIMT World School organised a field trip to Reliance Fresh Departmental Store for students of Class II to acquaint the students with fruits and vegetables available at the departmental store and to show them the procedure of buying at the store. Children enjoyed visiting the supermarket. 

AKSIPS-45, Chandigarh

To bid adieu to the outgoing batch of 2018-19, a farewell party was organised at AKSIPS-45 Smart School. A cultural show was put up by students, which included an array of dance performances and games dedicated to their seniors. Prabhnoor Singh and Eva Sharma were chosen Mr and Ms AKSIPS-45, respectively. Director-Principal Jasmine Kalra wished the students luck in their future endeavours.

Saupin’s School, Panchkula 

The school collaborated with Roti Bank to create awareness for a noble cause. The team Roti Bank conducted a magic show to inculcate the quality of sharing among students. While students donated roti and medicines, teachers donated money and food. Later, it was decided that the students would bringing food and medicines every Monday to be donated to Roti Bank.

DAV-8, Panchkula 

Meditation expert Acharya Pawan held an interactive session with students of Classes VIII to X. Acharya Pawan gave tips to students from his research-based learning manual to increase memory power, concentration level as well as recalling power. Students responded to questions put to them from the module ‘Learn how to learn’.

Saint Soldier, Chandigarh

A special assembly was conducted at Saint Soldier International School, Sector 28-B, Chandigarh, to seek blessings of the Almighty for the upcoming exams of students of Classes X and XII. Principal Vijaya Sidhu advised the students to work with perseverance. Head boy Aryan and head girl Shubkirat Kaur were invited for the lamp-lighting ceremony, followed by the student council of Classes X and XII and the class monitors.

DAV-8, Chandigarh 

As many as 165 students of Classes LKG to XII were rewarded with trophies and cash awards for their achievements in academics for the 2017-18 session. A total of 26 students of Class X received trophies and certificates for securing 90% and above. Cash prizes and certificates were given away to 21 students of Class XII for the categories of school topper, stream toppers and subject toppers. Srishti of Class X bagged the ‘Most Motivated student’ award.
