Ludhiana: Atam Devki Niketan, Kidwai Nagar, organised an English poem recitation competition for kindergarten section. Theme of this competition was Social and General Issues. Innocent Kids with their gestures describe the various themes- Save Water, Save Girl Child, Value of time,Save Earth, Poly Bag,Judgement, Soldiers, I am Unique, Teacher, Inner Beauty etc. 

Drive held against drugs 

Spreading awareness against drugs under buddy group programess, students of Bhartiya Vidya Mandir, Kitchlu Nagar, took a rally holding banners, posters and shouting slogans. They raised slogans creating awareness about the ill-effects of drugs. They also told people about the buddy group programme of the state government to control the drug menace. This programme is motivating general public to denounce this bad practice said principal Neelam Mittar.        

Science Outreach Programme

Mata Mohandai Oswal Pubic School,VijayInder Nagar, Daba Road students bagged first prize in Science exhibition at District-level at Guru Nanak Bhawan. They bagged the first prize in Science Outreach Programme organised by Chandigarh University. The exhibition was held at district level where the Class X of the school marked their excellence by displaying the model of modern sewage disposal plant. It displayed sure shot solution to disposal of waste to keep our surroundings clean. The winning team was duly honoured with the Trophy, Certificate and cash prize. Congratulating the students, CEO of the trust, Madhuruchi Lamba said it was a remarkable achievement.

Theme activity

Guys & Dolls Preschool organised traffic lights theme activity. Tiny tots came dressed as traffic lights .They even brought placards showing traffic rules. Kids were introduced to zebra crossing, green, yellow and red light.Footpath and three way road was created for kids.The purpose of this activity was to tell them rules of Road Safety 

Students shine

DAV BRS Nagar students became State-level winners of ‘National Vidyarthi Vigyan Manthan. Three students of the school from Classes VI and VII got selected for ‘National Vidyarthi Vigyan Manthan 2018-19’ to be held in Hyderabad in May. The students were trained in hands-on activities, questionnaire and video analysis. Mayank Chaudhary of class VI secured First Position and won a cash prize of Rs. 5000, Piyush Gupta and Mannat Goyal of class VII bagged Second and third place to win cash prize of Rs. 3000 and 2000 respectively. Principal JK Sidhu congratulated the winners. She said the students have brought honour to their families and alma mater.  

Sant Isher Singh Ji Memorial School 

Students of Sant Isher Singh Ji Memorial Pubilc School performed well in the open state level under 14 football championship at Bathinda. 15 teams from different districts represented their respective vicinity and gave the fierce competition. In this neck and neck competition , Muktsar team snatched first position Ludhiana District grabbed the second position in which nine players were selected from the school.. They participated with full zeal and verve and made their alma mater proud.

Students participate in Model UN

Students of Ryan International School, Jamalpur, participated in RLMUN (Ryan Ludhiana Model United Nations) organised at the school. They represented themselves as delegates of various countries. This activity developed their oratory skills, leadership, confidence level and research skills. They presented themselves as active and responsible citizens of the country. TNS
