Mohali: Ojaswini Saraswat of Manav Rachna International School, Mohali, won the fourth Maharaj Krishan Juniors North-Zone Golf Tournament in the F category. She played a card of 39 in the tournament. Chandigarh: A career counselling workshop was held at AKSIPS-45 Smart School. Experts from the US interacted with students and guided them about courses available overseas. Students were warned against malpractices and misguidance in the field of overseas education. Students also got their queries resolved on the occasion. Chandigarh: An e-waste collection drive was organised by the Eco Club, ‘Parag’, of Saint Soldier International School, Sector 28-B. Videos were shown to students to educate them about methods of safe disposal, recycling and reuse of e-waste. Items like batteries, mobiles, keyboards, chargers, calculators and other things were collected from students of the senior wing. Chandigarh: Under the “Caring and sharing programme” of the Education Department , NSS units of Government Model Senior Secondary School (GMSSS), 38 (West) , distributed clothes, shoes, soft toys and stationery items among needy students of Government Model High School (GMHS), Khuda Jassu, Chandigarh, on Wednesday. Chandigarh: As many as 198 students from 18 schools in the tricity participated in the “Big Aunty Maths Quest” orgainsed by New Public School. The exam was based on the CBSE Class X syllabus. It is organised every year in memory of the founder Principal, SH Singh (popularly known as “Big Aunty”). Harsh Raj Srivastava from St Joseph Sr Sec School, Chandigarh, stood first and was awarded a cash prize of Rs 5,000. Hemang Bansal from Bhavan Vidyalaya, Panchkula, stood second and was awarded Rs 3,000 cash prize while Arnav Aggarwal from Bhavan Vidyalaya, Chandigarh, bagged third spot and received a cash prize of Rs 2,000.
