Saupin’s boys lift UTCA U-17 Cup

Saupin's School, Sector 32, won the final of the UTCA Cricket U-17 Cup by recording an eight-wicket win against Chandigarh Baptist School, Sector 45.

Chasing 155 runs, the Saupin's boys reached home (157/2) in 32.5 overs. Rushil scored an unbeaten knock of 53 runs off 68 balls with eight boundaries. He was ably supported by Atul, who posted 52 off 76 balls, with five boundaries. Mehtab and Pranav claimed one wicket each. 

Batting first, the Sector 45 outfit posted 155 runs in 38.1 overs. Their innings was bolstered by Jasanjot (44 off 49 balls) and Arshpreet (43 off 75 balls). Sukhman was the pick of the bowlers as he claimed 4/32, while Sachit took 2/23.

Atul Jaswal was named Man of the Match. Arshpreet of Chandigarh Baptist School was named the Best Batsman, while Lakshay Sood claimed the Best Wicketkeeper title. Sukhman Singh was awarded with the Best Bowler title and Sachit Sharma was named Man of the Series.
