Power Minister Gurpreet Singh Kangar on Monday held a sangat darshan programme at the Forest Department Guest House at Dyalpura village in Rampura. During the programme, he heard the problems of people and resolved on the spot.
Talking to mediapersons, Kangar said the new panchayats would soon be issued grants for development works of villages. He said the development work of each village would be taken seriously and such works executed in a proper manner.
The minister said the main task of the Capt Amarinder government was to make the streets and drains in villages smooth. Besides, it would ensure proposal disposal of waste water. He said any amount required would be spent on the disposal of waste water. Work would be done on a priority basis. He said due to the accumulation of waste water at one point, there is fear among residents of an epidemic outbreak. To save people from such diseases, the disposal of waste water will be done as soon as possible.
He said the state government was committed to fulfilling the promises made to people. In fulfilling these promises, various public interest works had already been done by the government. The Punjab Government was giving special attention to the overall development of villages as well as cities.
On the occasion, DSP Gurpreet Singh, SDO Bhagta Bhai Gurmail Singh, SDO Nathana Hemant Kumar, SDO Bhai Rupa Praveen Kumar and other officials were present.
