Ritik Sandhu’s scored a quick-fire half-century before claiming three wickets to help St Anne’s School, Sector 32, register a 110-run against St John’s School, Sector 26, in a UT T20 (U-14) Cricket Tournament match at Government Model Senior Secondary School, Sector 26, here, on Monday.
Electing to bat, Sandhu hammered 87 runs to propel St Anne’s to 146/2 in 20 overs. Sourish Sawal made 37 runs.
For St John’s Vardan Sharma claimed 1/22.
Needing to score 7.25 runs per over for victory, St John’s were all out for 36 runs in 10.4 overs. Keshav returned with figures of 4/2, while Sandhu took 3/9.
Ashmit shines for Stephen’s
In another match, St Stephen’s School, Sector 44, beat Vivek High School, Sector 38, by three runs.
Batting first, St Stephen’s boys scored 125/2 in 20 overs. Ashmit Chaudhary made a brisk 61, while Samarveer Chawla added 51 runs to the total. Udaiveer (2/16) took both the wickets to fall in the St Stephen’s innings.
Vivek High School, in reply, managed 122/7 in the allotted overs. Prabhjot (53) did the bulk of scoring for the side, while Prunjai contributed 27 runs to the chase. Chaudhary took 2/20 for St Stephen’s.
