Chief Minister Capt Amarinder Singh has exuded confidence that the party would sweep all four Assembly byelections in the state. The CM today accompanied Capt Sandeep Singh Sandhu to the SDM office for filing nomination papers from the Dakha constituency. His wife Puneeta Sandhu filed papers as his covering candidate.
Describing Dakha as “my own constituency”, the Chief Minister said Sandhu, who had been committedly working for the Congress for the past 12 years, would ensure development of the region once elected.
Captain Sandhu, while talking about his plans for the constituency, said he had been meeting village sarpanches over major issues facing them and a plan would be chalked out for each village.
Meanwhile, Advocate Harpreet Sandhu has been deputed as PPCC legal coordinator with the Congress candidate. He will also look after, organise and remove grievances of the Congress candidate and will be attending to the complaints related to the violation of model code of conduct.
