Samir Soni to play principal in SOTY2

Samir Soni, who started his film career with China Gate in 1998, rues the fact that his career didn’t pan out the way he intended it to.

The actor will now be seen in Student of the Year 2 in which he plays the role of a principal. Samir is glad to be working with director Punit Malhotra after I Hate Luv Storys. He adds, “I told him I am his lucky charm. I am playing a quirky character in this film and that was a lot of fun.” Talking about Ananya Panday, he says, “I have known her as a kid, but the girl on the sets was a completely different person.”
