SAD performed fairly well: Leader

Contrary to the claims of the Congress of most of the elected panchayat members being affiliated to the party, SAD Halka in-charge Darbara Singh Guru claimed that around 30 new panchayats in the Khamano area are supported by the SAD.

He told the media that the SAD-supported candidates had performed well in the area.

Guru claimed that out of 70 villages in the area, 30 had been won by SAD candidates or supporters.

He praised the SAD leaders and workers of the area for this win and claimed that the SAD would win in the coming 2019 elections. He flayed the Congress and alleged that most of promises made by it have been unfulfilled till now.

He congratulated the new sarpnaches and panches and appealed to them to work for the development of their villages. Senior SAD leaders of the area, including Jagdeep Singh Rana, Kulwinder Singh Bilaspur, Gurdeep Singh Ghuman, Rajiv Ahuja, Kashmira Singh Bilaspur, were present.
