Solan, January 21
The Baddi police have recovered Rs 2.13 lakh of the Rs 8 lakh cash which was snatched at gunpoint from a collection agent of a Baddi-based finance company on January 7 near Sandholi village.
Additional SP NK Sharma said interrogation of the four Punjab residents arrested on January 17 led to the recovery. Two motor cycles used in the crime had also been recovered. The accused hailed from Ropar.
The police were, however, unable to recover the remaining money and also the weapon which had been used to fire at the collection agent.
The involvement of accused Hardeep Singh and Sukhbir has also been found in another case of snatching in November in which Rs 65,000 was snatched from Ajay Kumar, who was also a collection agent of a bank in Nalagarh. — TNS
