Rs 1.85-cr excise notice to city petrol pump

CHANDIGARH:Continuing its drive against defaulters, the UT Excise and the Taxation Department has served a notice on a petrol pump situated in Sector 28 here.

Continuing its drive against defaulters, the UT Excise and the Taxation Department has served a notice on a petrol pump situated in Sector 28 here.

Sources said the notice was sent to Brahamswarup and Sons for depositing Rs 1.85 crore as tax and penalty before December 10. In case the amount was not deposited, the department would taken action against the petrol pump as per the Land Revenue Act.
