Ludhiana, February 5

On the second day of the National Road Safety Week, the Ludhiana traffic police organised a special street play and a traffic rules awareness rally.

Additional DCP (Traffic) Sukhpal Singh Brar and ACP (Traffic) Gurdev Singh, along with other officials, took part in the awareness drive.

Students of various schools took part in the street play, which sensitised people to traffic rules and consequences of not following them.

In the play, students gave a message that driving without a seat belt or without helmet might put a person’s life in danger at the time of a road accident.

A large number of people had gathered to see the play and they appreciated the efforts of the students.

Play at Children’s Park

Later, schoolchildren also organised a traffic rules awareness rally in which hundreds of students took part. During the rally, students also interacted with commuters and encouraged them to follow the traffic rules.

Commuters were also distributed pamphlets by the traffic police to spread awareness about traffic rules.

The rally, which started from Children’s Park, culminated at Gol Market where students also made a huge chain by holding their hands.

ADCP Brar said on Wednesday, the traffic police would hold a road safety and traffic rules awareness session at Government College for Boys, Ludhiana, and on Thursday, a similar session would be held at KVM School.
