RJ interacts with journalism students

The Department of Journalism and Mass Communication of Apeejay College of Fine Arts organised a guest lecture on ‘Radio script and production’.

Ranbir, a Radio Jockey (RJ), from ‘Radio Mirchi’ 98.3 FM graced the occasion as a resource person.

Addressing the students, Ranbir said in order to excel as an RJ, it is imperative to have linguistic skill as well as clarity of speech. He stressed on the importance of rehearsal in order to attain fluency, eloquence and continuity in one’s speech and delivery.

Ranbir also recorded views, reviews and interaction of 15 students for his programme ‘Gal Sun Meri Heer’ to be broadcast on 98.3 FM. While concluding, he said journalism had umpteen number of career opportunities.

Principal Dr Sucharita Sharma said Journalism and Mass Communication had wide and varied career avenues and students must understand the nuances of electronic media in order to excel in the domain. She also appreciated the efforts of Dr Kadambari Nayyar, HoD, Assistant Prof Navneet Pal Kaur, for providing students a platform for learning.
