Bathinda, December 9

Right-wing outfits held a massive gathering near Mall Road in the city to mobilize support for Ram Temple in Ayodhya on Sunday.

The Shri Ram Janambhumi Trust, Bathinda branch, had organised a convention. Brahmachari Vagish Swarup, founder of the Bhartiya Sant Samiti, and Swami Surya Dev were the main speakers who exhorted participants to support the movement for the construction of the temple.

Members of the outfits said a bill must be passed in Parliament for the construction of Ram Temple in Ayodhya. The Supreme Court must conduct a hearing on the case on a regular basis.

Members of the Dost Welfare Society organised a free medical check-up camp at the venue where participants in large numbers availed free medical services.

Meanwhile, commuters had a harrowing time as they were stuck in long traffic jams caused due to the congregation on the Mall Road.
