Residents under under the banner of the “Lok Awaj Manch Punjab” an NGO protested non-availability of drainage sytem across lines area of Khanna. Protesters led by NGO president Tejinder Singh and general secretary Omkar Singh Sattu alleged that they were fed up with false promises of authority concerned regarding laying of sewerage in area.

They said muddy water often stagnates and causes health issues to residents. The duo added that despite repeated assurances nothing has happened on the ground.

Tejinder said waste water overflow from nullahs. They added that a woman teacher fell and fractured her leg due to stagnant water. — OC
