The region resonated with sound of exploding crackers marking the conquest of good over evil as effigies of Ravana were burnt at various places. Several late night functions were also organised for residents. Celebrations started early in the morning when people performed ‘puja’ at homes and temples. Main function was held by the Trimurti Kala Manch at MGMN Senior Secondary School, where the concluding session was presided over by Councillor Deepak Sharma and MLA Surjit Singh Dhiman was the chief guest. Ram Lila Committee, led by Vicky Sharma, organised a cultural programme at the grain market here. Similar functions were held at Raikot, Dehlon, Amargarh, Sudhar, Bassian and Malaudh.
