Himachal Pradesh inflicted an innings and 107 run defeat on Punjab at the IS Bindra Stadium here today. Resuming on overnight 195/8, the hosts could add just four more runs to the total before they were bowled out for 199.
Coming at their home ground, the inning defeat is pretty embarrassing for Punjab. They had brought their campaign back on track after registering an innings win against Delhi in their last game, but this loss is going to hurt their chances of making the knockouts. For Himachal, the massive win is exactly what they needed to keep themselves afloat in the tournament. Meanwhile, at Agartala, Haryana beat Tripura by 55 runs to gather six points.
