Punjab Governor and UT Administrator VP Singh Badnore launched a health app, “KnowMyHealth”, here today.

Arun Kumar Gupta, Principal Secretary, Health, Sanjay Beniwal, Director General of Police, Prem Bhandari, official of the company that developed the app, and Dr G Dewan, Director Health Services-cum-Mission Director, NHM, were also present on the occasion.

This app will be helpful in lifelong storage of patient health record across all health institutions both in government as well as private sector. The Governor appreciated the initiative and said it would be useful for patients.

The app can be downloaded by any patient and health profile can be uploaded through app or integration of patient data by the hospital concerned. The app will be useful for patients as they will not have to carry medical reports or prescriptions physically and can show these records in the soft form while consulting any medical practitioner.
