Punjab cagers beat TN, enter semifinals

MOHALI:Punjab men registered a 45-27 win over Tamil Nadu to set up the title clash with Maharashtra in the 6th National Wheelchair Basketball Championship at the Sector 78 Sports Complex here on Friday.

Punjab men registered a 45-27 win over Tamil Nadu to set up the title clash with Maharashtra in the 6th National Wheelchair Basketball Championship at the Sector 78 Sports Complex here on Friday. Maharashtra drubbed Telangana 40-11.

Earlier, in the quarterfinals, Punjab downed Jammu and Kashmir 64-17, while Tamil Nadu humbled Karnataka 39-16.

In the women’s competition, Tamil Nadu defeated Odisha 21-5 to book a berth in the final, where they will meet Maharashtra. — TNS
