Workers of Congress party held a candle march from Railway station to the statue of late Chief Minister Beant Singh for the martyrs of Pulwama, today. They also staged a protest against Pakistan for allegedly supporting terrorists.

The march was conducted under the leadership of MLA Payal Lakhvir Singh who condemned the attack in strong words. “We express our deep sympathy towards the bereaved members of the family and seek permanent boycott with the country which has no scruples what so ever,” he said. During the march, they raised the slogans of “Pakistan Murdabad, Imran Khan Murdabad and Hindustan Zindabad”. They offered tributes to martyrs of Pulwama attack at Statue of Bhagat Singh Doraha.

President BJP circle Doraha Naresh Kumar, under whose president ship the protest march was taken out, rued that this was the worst thing Pakistan could do. “It is the biggest betrayal of our faith. The families of the innocents who have lost their lives have been ruined. They are left with no financial and emotional support. The inhuman killing would worsen the relations between the two countries. Pakistan has indulged in such an inhuman act which cannot be forgotten for centuries hence. Rather than making efforts to bring in peace and solidarity between the strained relations of the two countries, Pakistan continues to give a fresh wound to India every now and then, thus complicating the already spoiled relations further,” he said.

Offering condolences to the families of the martyrs, the members of We Help You (WHY) a non-government organisation today protested against what they termed as ‘brutal’ attack by Pakistan on the Indian soldiers. Raising slogans against Pakistan, they termed the attack disgraceful. They protested against the manner in which Pakistan had shown its hatred towards Indians.

The members of WHY stated it to be highly shocking and agonising not only for the families of the soldiers, but for the whole of the nation. “Such inhuman behaviour cannot be tolerated at any cost. Killing our men in such a wicked manner speaks of the crooked mentality of the other nation,” they jointly stated.
