Several social and political groups paid tributes to the martyrs of Pulwama terrorist attack on Saturday. FICCI FLO members gathered at Company Bagh and mourned the martyrdom of 44 CRPF jawans, who lost their lives in one of the worst terrorist attacks in the valley. “It is a cowardly act on not just our armed forces but also the sovereignty of our nation. We stand united in this hour of grief and pray for the families of the martyrs,” said Aarushi Verma, vice chairperson, FICCI FLO, Amritsar. The women also pledged support to the families of the martyrs.

AAP’s city wing too took out a candle march at Bhandari Bridge to remember the sacrifice of the CRPF personnel. Kuldeep Dhaliwal, president, Majha zone, AAP, said such acts of terror should not be forgotten. “The Central Government should give a befitting reply to the perpetrators. The Centre should boycott and isolate Pakistan on the issue of terrorism and set an example for others.”

Students from various city schools took out marches in remembrance of the martyrs.
