Prohibitory orders issued to maintain law and order

Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) Parambir Singh Parmar on Friday issued various prohibitory orders to maintain law and order in the city.

Exercising the powers vested under Section 144 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973, the DCP ordered that no person would cover the face while driving.

Residents have been asked to inform about a servant and any type of worker and employed in their homes or factories at the nearby Saanjh Kendra. Apart from that, they have been asked to give information about tenants living in PGs or other accommodations. They have to provide complete information about their background, original residential addresses and other details.

In a separate order, all hotels, guest houses, resorts and any other public accommodation that are used for a temporary stay will have to keep the records of all people who stay on their premises.

They have to get a copy of the identity card, mobile number, purpose of stay or visit the place, details of people accompanying them, room number and the number of days they will stay.

In case of any foreigner national stays on their premises, they have to inform the head of the Foreigners Registration Office (Commissionerate Police).

These all must have to install CCTV cameras at the entrance, corridor, and reception counter of the building. If any person having a criminal record is being identified, the authorities must inform about it to the local police.

The city police have also ordered that the noise level of firecrackers on the boundary of public places, where loudspeaker of the public address system is being used, must not exceed 10 dB (A) above the ambient noise standards for the area 7.5 dB (A).
