The Guru Jambheshwar University of Science and Technology Teachers’ Association (GJUTA) has raised objections on the recruitment process for the post of Dean of colleges in the university. The association also demanded an inquiry into the appointment of the director of Training and Placement Cell of the university, alleging that eligibility conditions were relaxed to give benefit to a particular person.
A delegation of the GJUTA, led by its president Prof Dharmender Kumar, submitted a memorandum, addressed to the vice-chancellor, to Registrar Anil Kumar Pundhir on Thursday.
The GJUTA said recruitment would be an additional financial burden on the university. “The post of dean of colleges is being taken care of by the professors of the university. In past too, various administrative posts were being well taken care of by professors,” the memorandum said, adding that Prof Kuldeep Bansal was holding the charge of controller of examinations, but the post was filled through fresh recruitment, which had increased the financial burden on the university. The memorandum alleged that eligibility earlier, conditions for the post of director, Training and Placement Cell, were relaxed to give benefit to a particular person and subsequently, he was given admission in PhD through backdoor.
