Priyanka to show up in state today

CHANDIGARH: BJP top leaders, including Prime Minister Narendra Modi, party president Amit Shah and cinestar Sunny Deol, will spice up the party’s election campaign in the last phase before the Lok Sabha elections in the state on May 12.

BJP top leaders, including Prime Minister Narendra Modi, party president Amit Shah and cinestar Sunny Deol, will spice up the party’s election campaign in the last phase before the Lok Sabha elections in the state on May 12.

Modi will address two rallies in Kurukshetra and Fatehabad (Sirsa) in favour of party candidates Nayab Singh Saini and Sunita Duggal, respectively, on May 8. On the last day of campaigning on May 10, Modi will address a rally in Rohtak from where party candidate Arvind Sharma is challenging Deepender Hooda, three-time MP and son of former Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda.

Meanwhile, Congress general secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra will campaign for three party candidates Kumari Selja (Ambala), Bhavya Bishnoi (Hisar) and Deepender Hooda (Rohtak) tomorrow.

Another BJP star campaigner and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath will hold a roadshow at Jind tomorrow in support of Sonepat candidate Ramesh Kaushik and later at Ismailpur for Faridabad candidate Krishan Pal Gurjar. Meanwhile, Yogi’s much-awaited rally in Gurugram city has been cancelled owing to his busy schedule.

Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh will seek votes for Rao Inderjit Singh at Gurugram, Dharambir Singh at Bhiwani and for Sonipat candidate Ramesh Kaushik at Atrena village on May 8. Actor-turned politician Sunny Deol will hold two roadshows at Sirsa for Sunita Duggal and at Yamunanagar for Rattan Kataria on May 9.
