PPSC chairman, 2 members take oath

CHANDIGARH: Punjab Governor VP Singh Badnore today administered the oath of office to the newly appointed chairman and members of the Punjab Public Service Commission (PPSC) in the presence of CM Captain Amarinder Singh.

Punjab Governor VP Singh Badnore today administered the oath of office to the newly appointed chairman and members of the Punjab Public Service Commission (PPSC) in the presence of CM Captain Amarinder Singh.

Lieutenant General Surinder Singh (retd) was sworn in as the Chairman, while Additional District and Sessions Judge, Mohali, Shivinder Singh Mann was administered the oath of office and allegiance to the Constitution as the official member, and author and columnist Harmohan Kaur Sandhu (Bubbu Tir) as non-official member. Lieut Gen Surinder Singh retired as the General Officer Commanding-in-Chief, Western Command. Shivinder Singh had also served a special judge in the CBI court of Punjab and Presiding Officer, Industrial Tribunal-cum-Labour Court, Chandigarh. Bubbu Tir is daughter of Late Dr Gurnam Singh Tir, popularly known as Chacha Chandigarhiya. — TNS
