Powercom staff seek release of salaries

A dharna and a rally were organised at the complaint centre, Samrala, on the Khanna road, by Powercom employees under Sangat Singh Sekhon, President of TSU Mandal, Samrala.

Secretary of the mandal Rulda Singh announced to participate in the proposed a state-level strike on January 8, 2020 against the non-payment of their salaries for a long time. They also demanded the release of their DA installments, reinstatement of their dismissed co-workers, scrapping of the contractor system among other demands. The protesters warned that they would be forced to intensify their stir if their demands were not met.
